Prayer for the people of Port Au Prince, Haiti
Father God, in the name of Jesus, I pray for the citizens of Port Au
Prince, Haiti who have suffered under the devastation of the
earthquake. I pray that all of their needs be met according to Your
riches in glory by Christ Jesus, in accordance to Your Word that
declares You know what they have need of before we ask. I pray that
food, shelter, fuel, power, and water get to those who need it, that
those who are injured receive medical attention, and that those who
are missing be found alive. I also pray for aid workers and rescue
team workers who may be hurt, missing, or in want; I pray that they
also receive the support that they need in Jesus’ name. Thank you,
Lord that aid has come from all over the world. I pray that it is
administered in a timely and orderly fashion and also that long term
assistance is given so that the Haitian people can rebuild their lives.
May people everywhere continue to give and pray. Give the Haitian
people courage to survive and comfort to those who have lost loved
ones. I pray that Your peace that surpasses all understanding rule
and guard over their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. And I pray that
the love of Jesus is seen through the generous donations of those
who are unable to be in Port Au Prince physically, and is also seen
from those who are there. I pray that You, Lord, will bless and keep
the people of Haiti and make Your face to shine upon them and be
gracious to them, and that You lift Your countenance upon them and
give them peace in Jesus’ name. Give your angels charge over them
to keep them in all of their ways, oh God, and deliver them from the
snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. Be their refuge
and be with them in trouble. Deliver them and honor them and show
them Your Salvation. May they receive it in Jesus’ name, Amen.
