received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1996. During her
college years she rededicated her life to Christ and joined a non-denominational
church in Toledo, Ohio, where she volunteered in intercessory prayer,
housekeeping, and dance ministry. She was also president of the Christian
Outreach Bible Campus Ministry at BGSU where she was baptized in the Holy
Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues in 1994. It was there she met her
husband, Antwan Smith. After college, Nikisha moved to Toledo to begin her
career in education as a second grade teacher.

Nikisha Darshel Smith was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was raised with her
two younger brothers by her mother and step-father in Lorain. She was first
saved and water baptized at Church on the North Coast, in Lorain, where she
volunteered in the Children’s Ministry.

On July 19th, 1997 Nikisha married Antwan, and relocated to Lima, Ohio where they joined a non-denominational
church. Nikisha assisted her husband as Teen Department Head, and then was later promoted to Department
Head over Drama and Dance. She was also the Assistant Department Head of intercessory prayer, and
volunteered in altar ministry, praise and worship, and as a crew leader in a variety of outreaches. In 1998, she
was chosen to participate in a yearlong training class for individuals who showed a grace to assist in public
ministry. Afterwards, she taught a host of bible classes, and was finally promoted to a service overseer in 2005.
In 2005, she represented Ohio in the Miss Christian America Pageant in Long Beach, California, and won the
national title of Mrs. Christian America. Today, Nikisha is in her fifteenth year of teaching elementary school. She
is also assisting her husband in the great work God has called them to in the Dayton area.
